Easter Craft Ideas,
From your friends at Western Plastics.

The girls insisted that I make Easter creatures (similar to the one's we made at Christmas). Both are made out of 12 ounce PET jars.

The bunny is filled with iridescent package filler (available at most craft stores and stores that sell wrapping paper). Her hat came from the craft store and we glued on ribbon roses and bows. Slit the hat on top in two V shapes and insert the felt ears (we painted the inside of our ears with fabric paints - it made them a little stiffer and the girls insisted the inside of the ears had to be pink). This will help them stand up straight. Add "doll" eyes and a puff nose and tail. We added false eyelashes. You can buy them at the craft store, but ours came right out of my make-up drawer. Once upon a time I wore them and just couldn't throw them away. We added whiskers (also available at the craft store) and she was finished.

The chick was made in a very similar way. We filled him with shredded Easter grass but also thought about colored cotton balls. His hat came from the craft store, as did his eyes. For the beak, we took a piece of craft foam and cut it in a diamond shape. Fold it in half and glue it at the fold. Hold it a few minutes until your glue dries and it will stay in place. Of course, since the bunny had false eyelashes he had to also,You can always fill these animals with colored jellybeans - easily available at this time of year. Be careful, though, if you use the "specialty designed jellybeans" they get VERY expensive.
