Western Plastics Corp. now offers a complete line of pharmaceutical grade small desiccant packs called PillowPak. PillowPaks are manufactured using Dupont Tyvek and several custom substrates. PillowPaks can be used to absorb moisture vapor, odor or gas. Depending on the use, PillowPaks contain silica gel, molecular sieve, montmorillonite clay, carbon or a mixture of these materials. PillowPaks meet FDA and USDA standards and are used in a variety of packaging applications including vitamins, medical, diagnostic, pharmaceutical, electronics, food, optical, clothing and consumer products.

PillowPak desiccants are readily available in ¼, ½, one and 2-gram sizes with only a 48-hour turn-around time for shipping.

For safety sake, "Do Not Eat" is printed on the back of each bag in four languages: English, French, Spanish, and Japanese.

To facilitate our automated manufacturers, continuous strip PillowPaks are also available. The technology used by our manufacturer allows them to manufacture a strip product without punching a hole in the seal. The seal between each packet is detectable with the use of a light sensor that allows the dispensing equipment to run at speeds up to 240 per minute and cut at 1/16 tolerance. The result is a wonderfully efficient product that does not lose seal integrity.
